Gift Makers

This week I have been looking at 'Gift' companies and have been looking through different websites that includes different aspects of 'Gift' items such as; cards, wrap, tags, bags and packaging.

I found these cute wrapping paper designs made from a small print company names 'The Chalk Lion'. I found this company on Not on the high street, I have linked the website below so you can check out more of their work. http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/thechalklion

I also found this packaging on Not on the high street by the company 'Creative and Contemporary Handmade'. http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/creativeandcontemporaryhandmade

I came across these gift items whilst browsing on Bodie and Foes website. I thought that these were quite simple and I liked the cards because I liked how illustrative they are. These items can be found on Bodie and Foes website http://www.bodieandfou.com/categories/stationery

Print and Pattern blog is one of my favourite blogs to look at because it shows up and coming designers and it has a variety of different stlyes and influences. I came across Alexia Claires work and I loved it as soon as i saw it, its bright and colourful and I think its so different and unique. http://printpattern.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/kickstarter-alexia-claire.html

As its Halloween tomorrow I decided to look for some gift cards with Halloween prints on them and I came across these two cute cards on the Paperchase website. http://www.paperchase.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=halloween

I've been researching different Designer makers and came across a few that I liked and have decided to share them. The first designer maker i came across was Claire Coles who designs and produces embroidered wall panels and couture wallpaper murals for home interiors. Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair

On Friday the 10th October I went to the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair with my class and I have taken some pictures of products I liked and that inspired me.

My favourite company I saw that day were called Home Front Vintage, which is a company that sells products made from silk escape maps. If you are interested in learning more about Home Front Vintage click on the link below, this will take you to their homepage.

Another designer I came across was called Louise Gardiner. She is a British artist and designer who produces unique one off pieces. Louise's beautiful hand embroidered cushions are what caught my eye when I was looking around the Craft Fair. The rich colour's she used and the detail in her products inspired me to start experimenting with colours and textures. If you like any of Louise's products or want to learn more about her click on the link below, this will take you to her homepage.

All of the photos I have used from the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair have been taken by myself.
